Walnut Hills midfielder Daniel Bundschuh scored early off a give and go with Andrew Moore to put the Eagles ahead. They never looked back from there as they went on to have 28 shots and 18 on goal. Colerain kept the score close with great play from their freshman goalkeeper until the second half. In the second half, Adam Brown beat two players on the baseline before he was taken down in the box for penalty. Brown slotted home the pk for a 2-0 lead. Minutes later Andrew Moore out ran and hustled everyone from the 50 yard line for his 2nd goal of the season. While the game appeared to be over, Colerain made things interesting when a long range shot took some spin and skipped in off Walnut's keeper. As the Cardinals tried to pick up the intensity, Walnut absorbed it and continued to attack. The game saw a lot o players play well, but both Center backs Harrison Hildebrandt and Chaz Morgan (to the left) played an excellent game in never letting the ball get behind them. The JV Eagles got Colerain late with only 5 minutes to warm up. No worry though as they destroyed the JV Cardinals 6-0. Coach Keagan was pleased with the boys ball movement and most off all their finishing! To top of the day for Walnut, Coach Hatch's JV Blue team secured a program sweep over Oak Hills with a 3-1 score. Captain Christian Sand helped lead the way with his header goal. This puts the JV Blue Team at 2-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to La Salle on Thursday to complete their 4 game away trip. The Eagles are currently 4-0-1 and ranked #6 in the Cincinnati Coaches Poll. On Saturday, the Eagles return home from their 4th straight away game to play Fairfield at 7pm. For the Fairfield game, the soccer program is having Pack the House Night, where all grade school kids get in free, there will be promotional giveaways, and half time game of Walnut's Jr. High vs the CUSE Galaxy.
