It took Walnut Hills all of ten seconds to put up a goal against Lakota East on Saturday, and the Eagles went on to win 4-0 against another top notch soccer program.

The Eagles lost the coin toss for the very first time this year, which meant they got to kickoff the first half. It's a good thing they lost it. After a quick pass, senior Daniel Bundschuh penetrated the Lakota defense and played a sneaky through-ball to Ibrah Goumballe. Goumballe took it to the baseline and placed a perfect cross right to senior Martin Myaka who tapped it in. All of that in ten seconds. The Lakota East fans were speechless, not to mention their players.

Myaka would score again only five minutes later on a corner kick by Bundschu to put Walnut up 2-0. In the second half, the Eagles scored early again, with Myaka hitting a deep shot around the keeper for his first hat trick.

Walnut wasn't done yet. Bundschuh got his first goal of the afternoon on an absolute bomb of a punt by senior keeper Logan Wiedman. With the Eagles up 4-0 at that point, only ten minutes into the second half, the Lakota East coach decided to pull off the majority of his starters, apparently punishing them for their poor performance. Whether it was a poor performance by them or not, the Eagles were clearly the superior team. Up next is a big battle for the ECC as Walnut plays Turpin away this Thursday at 7pm. And don't forget SENIOR night, this Saturday at 5 pm at Marx Stadium.
