Preseason is Here!

posted Jun 10, 2015, 10:13 AM by Eric Rothwell
Hello everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation. We begin our preseason this Friday night at our 5K Fun Run/Walk. I hope to see all of you there as we will have pick up soccer after for all ages to play and some food! This event is a great chance to help strengthen our soccer community and the funds go towards our two preseason tournament's entry fees for our 3 high school teams competing in each event. There is still time to sign up here or you also sign up as a walk up.

Starting next Monday, we will begin our lifting/speed agility/conditioning and open play right after. These sessions will be a great opportunity for players to raise their athletic ability, build unity within our program, and have some fun playing soccer. The lifting and conditioning is only for high school age players, while players of all ages can attend open fields.

Schedule - (see calendar)

Monday - Thursday

6:00pm in weight room - bring all things for open play as well. Some sessions will be in weight room while others will be on turf. You must have gym shoes. (High School ages only)

7:30 - 9 open play in stadium (All ages)

Also High School Players, don't forget to give us your availability for the summer. If you haven't done so, you can do so on this form.

Next, be sure to order your spirit wear (training kits and uniforms for the preseason tournaments). All orders should be in by July 3rd. You should receive an email with what will need to be purchased. You can also visit our soccer.com page to order.

Lastly, be sure to sign up for our camps this summer. These are great opportunities for the staff to coach the players in tactical situations as well as great times for players to develop technically. Sign up online at http://www.walnuthillssoccer.org and click under the tab camps.

I hope to see you all this Friday at the 5k Run/Walk!
