The Walnut Hills mens soccer team kicked off their regular season with an impressive 4-1 victory Saturday over Wyoming. The Eagles, down 5 starters due to injuries, scored their first two in the final minutes of the first half, one each from seniors Robby Perry and Kyle Gilioli. Walnut Hills cruised from there, adding second-half goals from junior Nick Penn and another from Perry.

The Eagles showed physical and mental superiority throughout most of the match.   "Having so many guys out for this game and still scoring 4 goals shows how good we know we can be this year," head coach Eric Rothwell said. "It's just a matter of how bad we want it."

The Eagles look to get healthy quickly as they take on familiar foe Moeller Thursday night in their home opener.   Last season, Walnut defeated Moeller twice, with the last win knocking the Crusaders out of the tournament.
